One rolling pin, a small home oven and one big vision.
"To become one of the leading dessert destination in Australia."
In 2012, after countless hours of hand rolling and fine tuning the recipe,
THE HONEYCAKE you now know and love was born.
Our HONEYCAKE has put an Australian touch on the authentic centuries old Bohemian recipe, uniting the two cultures with the exceptional ingredients Western Australia has to offer. Using locally sourced ingredients, including high quality, cold pressed honey from Margaret River, free range eggs, and no artificial colours or preservatives, our HONEYCAKE is guaranteed to melt in your mouth.
We hand make all our cakes in small batches from scratch in our Fremantle bakery. Every layer is hand rolled, then assembled with creamy caramel and carefully sprinkled with walnuts and honey biscuits dust. We take pride in the time that we give when creating a new flavour, so it will not come as a surprise that our family recipe took six months of experimenting to fine tune to perfection.
THE HONEYCAKE made it's first appearance on a Perth's foodie scene in May 2013, as a humble market stall.
Over the years, with 4 stores now, THE HONEYCAKE has become a cult following dessert destination
amongst Perth locals, foodies, and travellers alike.
Have you always wondered what is all the fuss over one cake about?
THE HONEYCAKE is available at four locations around Perth, so be sure to pick up your next dessert
at the Fremantle Markets, State Buildings, Yagan Square or Sorrento Quay.
Alternatively, we now ship interstate, so you can enjoy
THE HONEYCAKE all year round.
Since the success of THE HONEYCAKE Original, we have brought new flavours to life
using the same layering method, like our newest edition Pandan Coconut, or Cacao HONEYCAKE.
We are also passionate about collaborating with our fellow local businesses, creating never before seen ultimate desserts.
Each new flavour is fashioned over many months of trials to bring you a luxurious, unique dessert we know you will love,
so keep your eyes peeled for all the upcoming HONEYCAKE news to come.
